The Jagannathpur Mela in Ranchi is one of the region’s most vibrant cultural gatherings, centered around the annual Rath Yatra at the historic Jagannath Temple. Held during the monsoon season, the festival marks the ceremonial journey of Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings, in grand wooden chariots pulled by devotees through the streets. As the procession unfolds, the temple hill and surrounding grounds transform into a lively fair filled with stalls, local crafts, food, and rural marketplaces.
